Your power is in your ability to tip your focus the way you want to go

When your mind is what we call ‘awake’, you’re focusing your energy through your thoughts and emotions in one way or another. If your thoughts happen to gain momentum in a more positive or negative direction, then you will feel increasingly more positive or negative depending on which way your thoughts are going. The good news is that you have complete control over which way your thoughts are gaining momentum, nobody excepted. 

Don’t worry so much as to what’s happening to you: focus primarily on the way you respond to what’s happening to you.

You are so much more powerful than you realise. All you have to do is learn to tip the scales of your thoughts a little bit more towards what you want, and away from what you don’t want. The more you start to tip, the more and more momentum you gain in that direction and the better and better you feel.

Life is a process of becoming

Do you feel like you’re always trying to push, force or direct life?

What we must remember is that it is the way we think, feel, and interact with the present moment that is creating the path in front of us. If you live dominantly angry and frustrated, then you will continue to experience a life of anger and frustration.

In our modern world it is so easy to get caught in the trap of trying to control and force life. Life can often seem such a struggle like you’re in charge of a hundred spinning plates. It is in these moments that we must remember that it is our resistance to life, that not only causes us so much inner frustration, but that also slows down the speed at which our life is falling into place. If you live in a state of resistance to what’s happening to you, then you will continue to experience a life of resistance and tension. It is only when you can turn the other way; when you can let go of all resistance and simply allow this moment to be, that our life takes on a whole new momentum. If you can learn to relax and flow with life rather than push against it, then the peace that passes all understanding will begin to blossom from within you.

So just relax, you won’t be in this experience forever. Just enjoy learning from everything that happens to you and always remember that life is working out exactly as it’s supposed too in order for you to learn and grow.

There’s nothing you need to figure out. Just enjoy each moment as fully as you can no matter what you’re doing.
